We would like to wish all of our clients a happy new year, and we at SIMPA look forward to work with everyone again in 2018 as well as new clients that we hope to work with this year.
2017 ended on a high note for SIMPA – the National Transportation Survey sponsored by the Supreme Council of Planning (SCP) kept us busy in the Muscat and lower Batinah Regions. We deployed literally hundreds of surveyors, and with the help of the local authorities including the ROP (Royal Oman Police), thousands of motorists were stopped on major highways and were asked to respond to a travel habits questionnaire. The same was conducted at public bus stations, taxi stands and airport passengers arriving and departing from Muscat International Airport. We are glad to say the exercises were conducted without any major hitches thanks to all who worked and cooperated with SIMPA over the past couple of months.
We have now almost completed this major survey, and look forward to a couple of new projects in January with familiar clients who are looking at new initiatives in this market for 2018. Looks like we will have an exciting start to the year too!
